Tanuja Walsh

Staff Attorney (she/her)

Prior to joining HLA’s MHAP for Kids, Tanuja was a legal intern in the Human Rights and Indigenous Peoples Legal Clinic at Suffolk University Law School. Tanuja is native to Trujillo-Peru. As an attorney in Peru, she worked in debt collection and litigated civil matters. She worked as a legal intern at the Municipal Child Defense Center in Trujillo-Peru, where she advocated for children’s and adolescents’ rights and assisted their families with child support, custody, and visitation matters. In addition, in Trujillo she worked as a volunteer in a Catholic program to assist inmates with their probate paperwork. Before she immigrated to the United States she worked as an administrative staff member at the Embassy of Peru in Ecuador in the commercial department and the binational plan and border development department. She holds a law degree from the University Antenor Orrego Trujillo-Peru and a master’s degree in global and technology from Suffolk University Law School. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in June 2024.
