Shelagh is a Staff Attorney with the Mental Health Advocacy Program (MHAP) for Kids. She is based at the Quincy Family Resource Center and provides services to families in Norfolk County. Before joining MHAP for Kids, Shelagh spent 10 years as a Staff Attorney at the New Hampshire Public Defender, representing individuals facing criminal charges. During law school, she interned at the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Maryland and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Shelagh worked at the Innocence Project New Orleans prior to law school, investigating cases of wrongful convictions of individuals serving life without parole. She graduated from the George Washington University Law School magna cum laude in 2014 and earned her B.A. in Political Science from Boston College.
