“This is fundamentally a consumer protection [bill],” said Justin Lowe, legal director of Health Law Advocates… The payment limits would not, technically, set the price for a drug but instead cap what Massachusetts consumers or insurers pay for it.

Joined together as part of the national Protecting Immigrant Families campaign, the groups MLRI, MIRA, Health Care for All and Health Law Advocates said they would fight against the change and work to raise awareness of it.
